As lovely as a hot cup of tea is, there’s nothing more refreshing in the summer than drinking a nice cold drink. I love trying out new green tea recipes, here are some of my favourites.

Citrus Mint Iced tea

Brew 3-4 Clipper Green Tea teabags in around a litre of hot water, along with a crushed handful of fresh mint and then cover and refrigerate for 4-6 hours. Once cooled, remove the teabags, top up with ice and add honey or agave to sweeten. Add some slices of lemon and orange to serve.

Green Tea Lemonade

Add one Clipper Green Tea teabag and two tablespoons of granulated sugar to 120ml of boiling water and allow to steep for three minutes. Stir in the juice and zest of two lemons and top up with 250ml of cold water. Refrigerate and top up with ice to serve.

Green Tea Mojito

Combine 65g sugar with 80ml of water, boil until clear and leave to cool. Also brew two cups of strong Clipper Green Tea and chill. In a jug, combine the cooled sugar water with the juice of four limes and a large handful of mint leaves. Add the chilled green tea, 350ml of white rum, 470ml of soda water and top up with ice to serve.

Not only is green tea lovely and refreshing, it’s full of antioxidants, and said to be fat burning. These are definitely a few of my favourite summertime drinks, and love trying different variations of Clipper Green Tea within them – you can always mix up the flavours to keep things interesting!
